Mutluluk her zaman gülmektir her şeye rağmen.

- Bir ifade duydum geçen. ''Boyu değil, nereye girdiği''

- Caprisun + Vodka içtim geçen... Çocukluğumla (yaş olarak) olgunluğumun birleşme noktası. Sonunda facia oldu.

- Hacıoğlu'nda satılan peynirli lahmacun (which they called ''peymacun''^) Ankara'da yediğim ilk şey. O yüzden her zaman bana ilk gittiğimdeki anları, günleri, yaşantımı, düşüncelerimi gösterecek. İnsan ne kadar değiştiğini görmek için böyle belirteç'leri kullanmalı bence. Ben yazıyorum. Günümü gün ediyorum. İleride gülerek hatırlayacağım, ama yine anımı gülerek geçirirken.

- CeHaPe değil ulan, Ce He Pe. Ce Ha Pe diyenler ilkokul eğitimi almamış sanırım. Okuma yazma bilmiyorlar. A B Ce! Mehmet Ali Birand'a çok kızıyorum.

About Six Pack Abs

For years the debate has raged hardcore about the effectiveness of traditional cardio versus high intensity cardio. On one side, you have educated strength coaches and trainers as well as researchers pointing to various reason why high intensity intervals are better and on the other side you have trainers and bodybuilders advocating the advantages of traditional steady state cardio. For the most part, the steady state work has won out since the trainers and bodybuilders look the way that most people want to look.

How To Burn Fat

When you look at how the body uses calories for energy during exercise, it’s very clear that it depends on the intensity of your training. The lower the intensity the more stored body is going to be used for energy and the higher the intensity the greater the need for stored carbs to be used. Unfortunately most people only look at right now. Everyone looks at how much fat they can burn now. That’s not the entire picture though. Other important factors include

* The recovery needs of training
* Daily recovery needs
* Accumulated recovery periods (4,6,12,16 weeks etc)

See what I’m saying? It’s never, no matter what you do, in the gym that matters the most.

Various recent research studies have shown that more fat is burned post workout when higher intensity exercise is used. Fat burning is lower during training but higher post workout. When you look at the 24 hour period, we also see that fat burning is elevated higher when high intensity work is compared to traditional interval training.

Can You Build Muscle With Cardio?

Recent says “yes”. Mougios look at exercise intensity and body composition changes and found that the high intensity exercise group either gained or maintained their lean body mass while the low intensity group lose lean muscle. This should stand out to any physique competitor reading this. You can actually build muscle with high intensity training.

Another factor to look at is that high intensity aerobic work will preferentially recruit fast twitch muscle fibers, particularly in the hamstrings and calves (two areas which most people lack).

Look at how high intensity intervals actually burn body fat. A study done by Tremblay looked at 20 weeks of high intensity training against endurance training. After it was all said and done, the high intensity grouped had as high as 9 times the body fat loss of the endurance group. The researchers stated that the increase in glycolytic enzymes was the main reason for this result. Glycolytic enzymes are essentially the process that sugar or carbs are broken apart and used for energy.

Bodybuilders Are Ripped

The other side of the coin is when you look at bodybuilders. They traditionally perform low intensity cardio and have extremely low levels of body fat. Could there be something to it? When you look at bodybuilding and stepping on stage or doing a photo shoot, the muscle to fat ratio must be optimized. After all, anyone can get ripped but not everyone can be muscular, tight and ripped.

So bodybuilders use steady state low intensity cardio since they are on low carb diets and only want to burn fat. The reason is that if they performed intervals they’d burn muscle since they don’t have any carbs available in their body. At first thought, this makes sense but how much protein are these athletes taking in? If they aren’t training with weights for an hour or so and taking enough protein, they won’t lose muscle regardless of what type of aerobic work is performed.

Makes sense and to be honest, steady state cardio is fine to do in a planned training cycle.

The issue is that the entire industry gets caught up in a “low vs high” debate when you can actually get benefits from state state cardio, after you’ve done your high intensity work.

You have to look at fat loss training as a step by step process. First you start the diet then you perform intense weight training then you perform high intensity intervals then you tweak your diet and training then you add steady state work in if you have the time or need.

The problem with a steady state only approach is that you have to continue to do more and more volume to see results. On a fat loss diet, the nutrients aren’t there to support the ever-increasing activity.

So to sum it up, the traditional fat burning zone doesn’t exist. You can see advantages and results from the typical steady state cardio routine but faster AND better results will come from high intensity interval training.

Interval Training

While most people know that they need to do cardio for six pack abs , they aren’t aware of the superior method for acclerating fat loss. The Tabata method involves alternating periods of 20 second of sprinting with 10 seconds of low to moderate intensity cardio, either walking or jogging. Now that is traditional interval training. What was found with tabata was that doing it for four minutes lead to more fat loss then traditional aerobic training. The problem is that the tabata method is very intense so it can not be done every day even though the tabata workouts are shorter and provide a better six pack ab workout.

Start out with the following workout

Weeks 1-3: 10 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest for 4 minutes

Weeks 4-6: 15 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest for 5 minutes

Weeks 7-10: 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for 6 minutes

Use A Form Of Periodization

With the typical six pack ab workout will only consist of more exercises more sets and more reps, the best way to get results is to use some form of periodization. That’s such a fancy way of saying “program design”. Most people get stuck in the “more” mode because that’s the only training method that they know for pushing themselves through training plateaus. Recently published research from Arizona State University (I had the great pleasure of studying under one of the researchers) has dsicovered a new, more effective way to designing your six pack ab workout for maximum gains.

Undulating periodization varies your set and reps schemes so that your body never adapts to the training. You don’t repeat the workout for a few days so your body won’t adapt. Plus you add variety of movements to your six pack abs workout so your body get challenged each training session. Here’s what a undulating workout may look like for your arm training

Days 1 and 3: Barbell curls-3 sets of 12 reps 60 seconds rest

Days 2 and 4: Barbell curls-4 sets of 5 reps 45 seconds rest

Just that slight variation will completely change your physique. See this way we don’t have to bring up the conversation of which sets or which reps to use in the workout. You don’t need to be concerned with the myth that high rep workouts burn stomach fat faster or that low rep sessions build muscle. You’ll be using variations of set and rep schemes each time you workout. It’s literally endless, here’s some set and rep combination

4 sets of 6 reps

3 sets of 15 reps

2 sets of 20 reps

5 sets of 5 reps

7 sets of 3 reps

4 sets of 12 reps

The list is endless.

What’s the diet like?

Most people make the mistake of thinking that their workout will get them their six pack of their dreams and put very little thought and focus onto their six pack diet. You’ll never get the results you want without having the foundation of a good diet that includes plenty of protein, timed carbohydrates and healthy fat in your diet. Lastly, eating too much fat, not eating enough protein and excessivly consuming carbohydrates will wreck any and all progress that you get from your six pack ab workout that day in the gym.

Which Are the Cardio Workouts to Lose a Lot of Weight?

If you need to lose weight you are not alone. Over 2/3 of Americans are classified as medically obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Losing weight takes a commitment to eating fewer calories and exercising regularly. Choose an effective cardiovascular exercise like running, bicycling or walking to burn calories and lose weight.

Running

Running burns a lot of calories and requires little equipment. Begin a running program slowly and plan on exercising three to four days per week. At the beginning of each session, spend five minutes walking to slowly warm up, then alternate jogging with walking until you build your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Once you are able to run for 30 minutes at a time, you will be burning between 250 and 350 calories, depending on your body weight.

Bicycling

A publication from the Harvard Medical school shows that bicycling at a rate of 14 to 15.9 mph for 30 minutes burns between 300 and 444 calories. Ride a bicycle outside, or use a recumbent stationary bicycle. As with running, begin slowly and work hard to increase your distance and speed as your fitness level improves. Remember to combine your cardio exercises with healthy food choices to lose weight.

High Intensity Interval Training

High intensity interval training, or HIIT, is a high calorie-burn workout that is effective whether you are a runner, a swimmer, a walker or a biker. A HIIT workout alternates periods of high and regular intensity effort to burn extra calories and improve your cardiovascular fitness faster. When running for exercise, sprint for 60 seconds, then run at your regular pace for five minutes. Repeat the intervals for the duration of your workout, making sure to cool-down after you are done. You should do HIIT one to two times per week.

Walking

You may not associate walking with a cardio workout to lose a lot of weight, but according to a publication by the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, "mile for mile, running and walking burn approximately the same number of calories. But minute for minute, the faster your speed, the more calories you burn, giving running the calorie-burning edge." Running burns calories more quickly, but brisk walking for the same distance will give you the same calorie burn with little stress on your joints. Practice walking faster by walking tall, swinging your arms and rotating your lower body slightly as your walk.
